The last few days has been fairly dry for most parts of the country except for Isolated pockets in extreme South India and Northeast India. Southwest Monsoon is pretty much on its last legs with only parts of East & Northeast India still enjoying the withdrawal phase.
Most of South India is expected to see dry weather with day time temperatures around normal levels are marginally higher. Due to the incursion of continental air from Central Asia night times could see lesser than normal temperatures particularly around the Deccan Plateau region.
Parts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh could see the benefit of a dipping trough in the form of isolated rains around North Coastal AP. Kerala and parts of South Karnataka could see isolated spells of rains as there is a bit of wind convergence aiding the rains in these places.
Tamil Nadu Weather Update: Partly cloudy skies at many places in the coastal region as Easterlies push in remnant moisture, with one or two places getting passing spells of early morning showers. Day time temperature in the plains of North TN could be around 33°C while places in the Delta region could be warmer at around 34°C. Parts of South TN could see rains aided by the Easterlies. The coastal stretch between Vedaranyam to Kanyakumari could see isolated spells of rains with places around Thootukudi possibly enjoying the best spell of rains.
Chennai Weather Update: Partly cloudy skies with day time temperature around 33°C. Humidity could be high creating a fairly uncomfortable afternoon & evening. Late nights & Early mornings are expected to be pleasant.
