Yesterday saw some isolated rains in Chennai with spells of passing showers happening in a few places in OMR. Thaiyur near Kelambakkam has received about 3 mm rains last night. This is expected to continue for the weekend as well
With lower level Easterlies carrying some bit of moisture from the Bay on account of the trough effect parts of North Tamil Nadu & South Andhra Pradesh will see some isolated rainfall activity. While one or two places in South AP could see heavier spells of rains it is likely to be extremely isolated rains in the region mostly with occasional spells of heavy rains that could last a few minutes.
Similarly parts of Coastal South TN could also see some spells of rains with one or two heavy spells at times expected near the Tuticorin region.
The weekend is expected to see isolated rains in Chennai as well with passing showers expected during early morning and late nights. Day time could see lesser rainfall activity. The Day time temperature is expected to be around 30°C with partly cloudy skies in the morning that will possibly clear up later in the day. Night time temperatures are expected to be around 25°C.
