With Cyclone Ashobaa moving away from the Indian Peninsula the rains have started to pick up again over South India. In a combination of thunderstorms triggered by instability and by moisture incursion from West coast many places have been receiving rains over the last couple of days.
In what could be a continuing trend the next couple of days could see rains over many places of South India. South Interior Karnataka, South AP & adjoining parts of Interior Tamil Nadu could get instability triggered thunderstorms during late evenings.
In what is potentially a good news there is a definite pattern emerging of lower level moisture incursion from Arabian Sea thanks to the Southwest Monsoon making some progress. Due to this we could see some good rains fall over West coast over the next few days.
This weekend could potentially see one good rainy day for Chennai which we will update you as things firm up. In the meanwhile North Tamil Nadu will continue to get isolated rains at a few places today & tomorrow.
