With most of Peninsular India under upper level High Pressure zone yesterday saw Rains over Tamil Nadu ease with only a few places in Tirunelveli & Kanyakumari districts recording moderate rains. Other parts of South Tamil Nadu saw isolated rains while delta region saw rains at one or two places. North Tamil Nadu was pretty much dry most of the places.
This subdued rains over Tamil Nadu is expected to continue for a few more days as the rains are expected to be pretty much confined to extreme South Tamil Nadu with one or two places in the Kanyakumari & Tirunelveli districts receiving moderate spells of rains at times. Most places of Tamil Nadu is going to remain fairly dry.
There is a possibility of some thundershowers developing over the interior parts of Tamil Nadu due to some bit of convergence on account of a weak disturbance still lingering around Sri Lanka, but it appears due to the absence of upper level moisture we could see this not develop at or possibly give some light rains at isolated places to the West of Chennai .
Chennai Weather Update: Another fairly quite day on the cards with partly cloudy skies and a max day time temperature of about 30°C. As things stand rains look unlikely though one or two places receiving isolated passing showers could not be ruled out. Expect the nights to be nippier and possibly the early morning to be around 22°C.
