Yesterday saw many parts of Chennai receive moderate rains as a prelude to Northeast Monsoon onset. While the IMD observatory in Nungambakkam received 15 mm rains, Taramani received 22 mm & Madhavaram Agro received 21 mm during the spell of rains in the afternoon bringing down the temperature to about 25°C
Another day with more or less dry weather prevailing over most parts of Tamil Nadu with only Kanyakumari district the exception with moderate spells of rains in that district. Thiruvattar in Kanyakumari district got about 24 mm till 12 in the night.
Yesterday once again saw fairly dry weather prevail over most parts of Tamil Nadu with one or two places in Erode & Ariyalur district getting moderate rains while a few places in Kanyakumari district like Nagercoil got light rains yesterday
