Northeast Monsoon Update :  The development of two Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation on either side of Peninsular India has created wind induced instability which has triggered potential heavy rainfall scenario over most parts of North West Tamil Nadu.  The districts of Krishnagiri, Vellore, Tiruvannamalai & Dharmapuri could experience heavy rains at many places with one or two places getting spells of very heavy rains at times due to the Line of Wind Discontinuity developed over South India.

Due to this development of Wind Discontinuity while the interior districts enjoy potentially heavy rainfall day the coastal districts could take a break from rains with not much rainfall activity expected in the coastal region except for occasional isolated rains in one or two places.
