As has been the case for the last few days fairly clear weather in North Tamil Nadu is expected to continue today as well. Yesterday saw some isolated rains in South Tamil Nadu which is likely to continue today as well under the influence of the fading Low Pressure Area in Bay of Bengal.
The Low Pressure in Bay of Bengal has been pretty much moving along the Equator keeping a very low latitude right through. It is now seen to the SE of Sri Lanka just off the Equator in a fairly weak state. Models indicate it could fade away by tomorrow.
The area of impact will continue to be Sri Lanka and extreme Southern Peninsular India. South Tamil Nadu will see extremely isolated rains with one or two places getting a heavy spell or two but mostly it is going to be passing showers rather than rains of heavy intensity.
Weather in North Tamil Nadu is expected to be fairly clear with moderately warm conditions over the interior places. The day time weather in North Tamil Nadu is expected to be around 33°C at most places with one or two places in West Interior Tamil Nadu around the Karur / Namakkal & Salem region seeing slightly higher temperatures getting closer to 35°C. North Coastal Tamil Nadu will continue to see day time temperatures in the region of 32°C.
Night time temperatures are expected to be warm across the state except for some pockets in West Interior Tamil Nadu which could see fairly nippy early mornings. Mostly temperatures are expected to stay to the north of 20°C across the state with the coastal areas seeing day time temperatures in the region of 23 / 24°C.
