Under the influence of the Low Pressure in Bay in one or two places of South Tamil Nadu rains are likely over the next couple of days. Though as things stand the areas of Sri Lanka could possibly get heavier showers while extreme South TN could also benefit from this Low Pressure in Bay of Bengal.
The Low Pressure Area currently is lying to the SE of Sri Lanka an in a fairly disorganized state though it is still retaining some convection through its movement in Equatorial Indian Ocean.
Due to this westward moving Low Pressure in Bay parts of Sri Lanka & extreme South Peninsular India are expected to receive some rains over the next couple of days. The rains are likely to be heavier in Sri Lanka while parts of South TN & South Kerala could receive isolated rains. The districts of Kanyakumari & Tirunelveli particularly around the Western Ghat regions could be in line to receive one or two spells of heavy rains.
Thanks to the disturbance being closer to the Indian Sub Continent Peninsular India will see a slightly less warmer day compared to the last few days. Most parts of Tamil Nadu will see temperatures lower by a degree or two compared to yesterday when places like Karur saw temperature cross 35°C. Overall we could see day time temperatures in Tamil Nadu come down marginally across the state. Night time minimum temperatures will remain moderately warm under partly cloudy skies for most parts of the state.
