Low Pressure in Bay of Bengal – On the cards

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Bay of Bengal is ready to host the first Monsoon System of 2015.  Currently the Upper Air Trough off Central Andhra Coast is expected to descend down to surface levels and become a Low Pressure Area in the next 48 hours.

We can now for sure Low Pressure in Bay of Bengal is on the cards for sure.

Thanks to this Upper Air Trough Chennai could see partly cloudy skies with some areas receiving occasional spell of light rains in a few areas towards the afternoon / evening.

As the evening progresses there is some possibility of rains towards late night depending on the development of the trough into a Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation and its relative position.  The places that could receive rains would purely depend on the evolution of the UAC & its position.
