The last couple of weeks have seen Chennai having warm days and still comfortable nights. This is expected to change during the coming week. Towards the weekend Chennai would start to see the start of the summer conditions with the day time temperature expected to move beyond 36 C / 37C. We could see the first 40 C happening in interior Tamil Nadu over the next few days.
Though summer is expected to start uncomfortably hot days would possibly start from middle of April when during days we could see surface level breeze blowing from interior Tamil Nadu on a more sustained basis during day time.
In the meanwhile South Tamil Nadu could continue to see occasional and isolated rainfall thanks to the presence of Upper Air Trough over the South Bay. Places in Odisha & West Bengal could see some thunderstorm activity today thanks to Norwesters thats expected to push in to the Eastern Coast.
