The last couple of days have seen dry weather in Tamil Nadu firmly establish and things are unlikely to be any different today as well with most parts of the state likely to experience dry conditions under unfavorable weather pattern. In the meanwhile the monsoon dynamics has just received a huge double booster in the form of twin low Pressure driving the dynamics sitting over Central India & North Bay.
With the monsoon trough firmly established over Central India Southwest Monsoon has received major impetus to get into an active phase with heavy rains expected over the core monsoon zone in the days to come. After a few days of pounding rains over the Maharasthra Ghats & adjoining regions thanks to the new Low Pressure that has now developed over Head Bay the heaviest spells of rains are expected to shift East towards the Chota Nagpur plateau region and the coastal areas of Odisha & AP.
Dry Weather in Tamil Nadu is likely to continue today as well except for some parts of South TN & Northwest Interior Tamil Nadu around Dharmapuri district which could receive isolated spell of rains later in the evening. Otherwise it is going to be a day of dull weather in Tamil Nadu with temperatures probably inching slightly above normal at many places. There is a chance of weak sea breeze show up around the coast near Chennai which could be bring some respite from the uncomfortable evenings around the region.
