Last couple of days has seen rains taking a break from Chennai though a few places in South Chennai got isolated spells of rains last evening around Meenambakkam, Nanganallur, Tambaram. Most parts of the city had to be content with Cloudy weather and humid evening.
Southwest Monsoon Update: The Monsoon trough has moved towards the Himalayan Foothills which signifies monsoon break conditions, this is expected to continue for some time and would depend on the possible UAC developing over North Bay. The rains will be restricted to the Himalayan Foothills and parts of adjoining Gangetic Plains while most parts of the country would face dry or little rain. Parts of Karnataka & Konkan is receiving decent rains due to moisture incursion aided by the pull from Typhoon Soudelor. These rains are expected to continue for another day or so. Parts of Coastal AP & Telengana could benefit from the Mid Level Trough over Central Bay.
Tamil Nadu Weather Update: Warm & Partly Cloudy day on the cards for most parts of North TN, temperatures expected to be around 36°C. Towards the evening Isolated thunderstorms may be possible over a few areas though heavy spells of rains may not happen. South TN could see a clearer day with hot conditions prevailing around 37°C.
Chennai Weather Update: Pleasant Morning on the cards. Day will be cloudy with warm and humid conditions around 36°C. Late evening one or two areas in South suburbs and places south of Tambaram could get isolated spells of passing showers.
