The last few days have seen the rains give a miss mostly to Chennai with only a few places getting isolated spells of rains. Last night once again saw a few areas of the city receive short spells of rains. Nungambakkam AWS & Anna University received 1 mm each.
Southwest Monsoon Update: A Low Pressure Area has formed in Northwest Bay off Odisha coast which is expected to bring in heavy rains to Peninsular India & Central India. Thanks to the Low the Monsoon Axis is tilted to the South East. The LPA is expected to bring heavy rains over many places of Coastal AP, Chhatisgarh, Telengana, Odisha & parts of MP. Places in drought affected Marathwada, North Interior Karnataka & Vidharbha would also get good rains due to the moisture migration thanks to the LPA. West Coast aided by the Bay low will continue to get good rains over Karnataka & Kerala while Konkan could get some rains over the next couple of days.
Tamil Nadu Weather Update: Partly cloudy skies over North TN with temperatures around 36°C at most places. Isolated rains towards the evening may occur over one or two places in North Coastal TN but overall the rains are expected to reduce and take a short break for the next couple of days or so.
Chennai Weather Update: Cloudy skies with warm humid day around 35°C expected. One or two areas could get passing showers towards the evening. Overall we will have to look forward to warm humid days till the weekend.
