Yesterday saw dry weather prevail over pretty much most of Peninsular India with practically little moisture over almost entire South India during the day ensuring rains were a mirage for most in the region.
Southwest Monsoon Update: The two disturbances over Rajasthan & East India are expected to provide some rains to most parts of the country except south of the Vindhyas. The quantum of rains are expected to be lesser compared to the last few days though a few areas could receive heavy spells particularly around the foot hills of Himalayas and in the mountains.
South India is expected to see another dry day with the exception of possibly one or two places in the West Coast. Practically poor moisture at most levels and under the influence of the outflow of a mid level ridge chances of rains are very negligible for the region
Tamil Nadu Weather Update: Another day of dry weather with possibly the comfort of normal day time temperature expected at most places which could be a degree or two lesser than the hot days over the last few days. There is some chance of isolated thunderstorms in extreme South Tamil Nadu towards late evening.
Chennai Weather Update: Mostly clear skies with pretty much little chance of rains today, though thanks to likely early sea breeze the temperatures could stay at a comfortable 34°-35°C during the afternoon.
