The last few days has seen rains for most parts of Tamil Nadu thanks to the UAC over Arabian Sea that was expected to descend to a low. Thanks to not so conducive conditions the Low did not materialize, the UAC is now expected to fade away for the next couple of days.

Last couple of days have seen some intense discussions among weather bloggers on the current Upper Air Circulation off the Sri Lankan coast with various weather models predicting scenarios beyond the realm of imagination. Finally there is some clarity emerging with a low Pressure Arabian Sea expected to form in a day or two.
Low Pressure in Bay of Bengal on the cards
The UAC off the Sri Lankan coast is expected to develop into a Low Pressure in Bay of Bengal area by IMD around 13th. While the development of the low is pretty much now a very firm possibility the future evolution of things from there is anybody’s guess.
