It has been three consecutive days of Max temperature of the day being broken for Chennai this week.  While Nungambakkam touched 39.1⁰, Meenambakkam was scorching at 39.6⁰ Degrees. Chennai Summer is expected to notch up another gear on Friday, be aware Chennaities, tomorrow could potentially see Kathiri show its true face.

Mr. Summer has been trying to compensate for the time he lost out to the rainy days last week and is now on steroids mode to blazing glory.

Chennai Summer rebounds in style after the effects of UAC wanes away. Today saw the highest temperature of the year for Nungambakkam at 37.8⁰ C, scoring the first century in Fahrenheit terms 100.4⁰ F.

Thanks to the disturbances in Arabian Sea & Bay of Bengal over the last one week Chennai had forgotten what Kathiri was.  Moderate day time temperature and pleasant night temperatures meant we had almost thought summer was over for us.  With now the effect of these disturbances pretty much negligible it is back to normal…

With a fortnight gone in May we are still to experience hot summer in the strictest sense thanks to benevolent nature in the form of UAC not only negating the impact of Summer but providing rainfall to many places of South India.
