Chennai Weather -Dry Spell to Continue
Yesterday saw most parts of Tamil Nadu dry with isolated rains over a few places. Tiruvottiyur got 9 mm as reported by our fellow blogger Velayudham. Parts of North Chennai received passing showers in the evening with Southwest Monsoon pretty much inactive across the country

Yesterday saw widespread rains over many places of North & Central Tamil Nadu. The heaviest spells of rains happened the areas along Salem, Namakkal, Perambalur & Ariyalur and Nagapattinam districts.

Last evening many areas of Chennai received rains with the IMD Weather station in Nungambakkam receiving 5.5 mm of rains. Many places over North Tamil Nadu received heavy rains with Chetpet, Vandavasi, Sriperumbudhur & Walajahpet receiving more than 50 mm rains during the evening & night.
