Last night saw widespread rains lash the delta region with Tiruchirapalli, Nagapattinam, Thiruvarur and Thanjavur districts getting good rains. Also places in the districts of Vellore, Kanchipuram, Tiruvannamalai districts also got heavy spells of rains.
