The Northeast Monsoon continues to provide some rains to South Coastal Tamil Nadu & delta districts. Yesterday was no different with Ramanathapuram & Nagappattinam districts enjoying fairly widespread showers with one or two places getting moderate spells of rains.
While today could see a slightly subdued day of rains for Tamil Nadu things are likely to improve tomorrow as the trough of low moves towards Sri Lanka. Most models are estimating the disturbance to remain weak and possibly develop into a Low Pressure Area around Sunday / Monday. The weekend is likely to see moderate to heavy rains in a few places of South Tamil Nadu while Sri Lanka is in line for some heavy rains over the next few days.
As far as North Tamil Nadu & Chennai goes not much improvement expected in the rain prospects for us until possibly middle of next week when a combination of strong Easterlies and possibly beneficial trough could see spell of rains return for North Coastal TN.
