The last couple of days has seen predominantly dry weather in Tamil Nadu with only Papanasam in Tirunelveli district recording rains yesterday. Things are set to continue in similar pattern for the next few days which not much change expected in the days to come.
With the Bay disturbance still consolidating, IMD is expecting a Low Pressure to form in the next 24 – 48 hours and subsequently develop into a Depression in the same area around Andaman Islands. We will look at how things are evolving and what possible impact could happen for Tamil Nadu in the form of rain prospects.
Nevertheless in the immediate vicinity weather in Tamil Nadu is expected to be dry with possibly not much chance of rains. Winter conditions are expected to prevail over most parts of the state though interiors could see marginally warmer than normal temperatures tomorrow night. Areas around Western Ghats of Tamil Nadu & Kerala are likely to see minimum temperatures stay well below normal. Similarly the coastal areas are also likely to see slightly below normal temperatures.
