The last couple of days have seen Rains slow down in Tamil Nadu while synoptic activity takes shape in Central Bay off the coast of North Andhra & South Odisha in the form of an upper air cylconic circulation. Yesterday also saw fairly quite day on the rains front in TN as Arani in Tiruvannamalai district recorded about 10 mm while places like Hosur & Kalavai also recorded 2 and 3 mm respectively.
As things stand this upper air cylonic circulation is not expected to descend to surface level but nevertheless it is likely to provide Heavy Rains in one or two places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh along with parts of Telengana & Chhattisgarh as well. As the UAC moves in a East to West direction the Northern parts of Peninsular India will start getting spells of heavy rains particularly in the interior region.
In the meanwhile thanks to the persistence of the off shore trough places in West Coast are likely to see increased rainfall activity and as the UAC moves inland from tomorrow we are likely to see a possible monsoon surge impact Coastal Karnataka bringing in possibility of heavy rains in South Coastal Karnataka. Today we are likely to see one or two places in South Interior Karnataka around the Malnad region get very heavy rains around the Ghat region.
While North Tamil Nadu could continue to see partly cloudy skies which might keep the temperatures in check rest of Tamil Nadu could see slight increase in temperatures as drier conditions are likely to prevail in Central & South Tamil Nadu.
