With the first heat wave of 2016 behind us time to look forward for some rains in Tamil Nadu once again. With the Sun getting ready to move back into Northern Hemisphere it is at time of the year when we are looking at the thunderstorm season starting for parts of South India.
Under the influence of the surface level trough that persist in Southwest Bay of Bengal & adjoining waters of Equatorial Indian Ocean there is some possibility of rains in Tamil Nadu. The Southern Tamil Nadu districts of Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi could benefit from these rains over the next day or two.
Also parts of Kerala could also get some rains in one or two places. Additionally the next couple of days are also going to see fairly strong Easterlies which is likely to bring down the temperature by a couple of degrees across Tamil Nadu with the coastal areas particularly enjoying an extremely moderate weather during the day.
Chennai could see a moderate day with temperatures in the region of 31 / 32°C while nights are expected to be slightly warmer than the previous days. Minimum temperature could be in the region of around 25°C.
