Yesterday saw most parts of Tamil Nadu dry with isolated rains over a few places. Tiruvottiyur got 9 mm as reported by our fellow blogger Velayudham. Parts of North Chennai received passing showers in the evening with Southwest Monsoon pretty much inactive across the country
Southwest Monsoon Update: Southwest Monsoon is going through an extremely lean patch with rains restricted to East India around Bengal & parts of Odisha with few isolated spells of heavy rains over the Himalayan region. This is expected to continue for another day or two as the monsoon axis is firmly parked against the Mountains while we wait for a possible low to evolve in the North Bay to revive #Monsoon2015 before the withdrawal process kick starts in another couple of weeks time.
Tamil Nadu Weather Update: Another dry day for most parts of Tamil Nadu. Warm and clear day on the cards for North Tamil Nadu with clearer skies and temperatures around 36°C expected. One or two places in Western Ghats region could get isolated spells of rain, while isolated convective thunderstorms may happen over North Coastal TN.
Chennai Weather Update: Warm dry day ahead for Chennai with temperature possibly around high 36°C. Clearer skies would increase the heat radiated back from the ground making it a more uncomfortable day. It could be a couple of days before we look at the next opportunity of rains.
