Most of Tamil Nadu saw night time temperatures increase yesterday with many places recording a couple of degrees higher than the previous days. Coinciding with this was the increased cloudiness as well implying the effect of Easterlies in this interplay.
The Low Pressure that has been persisting for the past few days over the Equatorial Waters of Indian Ocean has become less marked due to unfavorable environment. Also staying very close to Equator did not help its cause either.
Wind charts show the increased strength of Easterlies off the coast of Tamil Nadu. This has resulted in the increased cumulus clouds over Tamil Nadu. Isolated rainfall activity was also seen with Kulasekarapattinam & Tiruchendur recording 1 cm each for the 24 hours ending today morning. The interaction between Westerlies and Easterlies has brought some rains over parts of Telangana today and is likely to create similar scenario over parts of AP, Telangana tomorrow as well.
